Elimination of the CFWheels evangelism team

Just a quick note to let people know that the Wheels Evangelism Team has been eliminated. I assume I will no longer be blogging on Wheel's blog. This will not affect my continued support of CFWheels (now I can refer to it as CFWheel again.) I will still be writing blog posts, speaking at user groups and conferences (provided user groups and conferences honor me with accepting my submissions), and writing an upcoming article about ColdFusion On Wheels. I may even still attempt Wheels contests and giveaways like the LitePost Contest or the free shirts. I really enjoy the framework that much and hope you download it and give it a try.

Just curious the reasoning as you don't explain why...especially given that it was a volunteer thing anyway.

Chris Peters and Per Djurner, the two heading Wheels, were not happy with what the evangelism team has been producing. They felt it best to eliminate the evangelism team. Honestly, I had been discussing resigning with a friend since I found some things with the Evangelism group overly controlling and negative. This is not about the framework and core team, they are awesome and very receptive to new ideas, improvement suggestions, and bug submission for the framework.

That's too bad to hear. I am about to embark a few major development efforts and was planning to use cfwheels for each one, I hope this isn't a sign of more bad news to come.

@don definitely not, i have just upgraded our production application to wheels trunk and am testing it out as I am typing this. We are definitely pushing forward wheels from a development perspective and are continuing to push to have the best CF framework available! Come on over to the forums if you have any issues with wheels and we will work to correct them or point you in the right direction.

I second James totally. This isn't a sign of anything bad to come.

    I third that :)

I'm happy as long as the direction is forward for cfwheels :)
